Award-winning author, Mariah Glover, won the Christian Indies Award two years in a row with her novels, A Worthy Love and Beauty Out of The Ashes. She started writing her own stories when she was about seven years old and has been writing ever since. She has always enjoyed making up her own stories, bringing all her thoughts and ideas alive on paper. When she heard, read, or saw something that fascinated her, Mariah was quick to write it down to possibly use in a story one day. When she was really young, she would draw pictures on each page of her stories to convey what she was saying. She would then tie all her pages together with string and draw herself a front cover, and there was her story. Mariah’s love for writing increased as she took English classes in elementary school through college. Her desire is to bring people closer to the Lord through her writings. She wants people to take a message from each of her stories that will encourage them. A lot of her inspiration for the messages or themes behind her stories comes from sermons or gospel songs that has touched her. Not only does Mariah express her faith through her stories, she also expresses her passion for history. Each of her stories takes place during historical time periods that has always fascinated her. She has always enjoyed researching the time period she was writing in to make the characters' lives come to life more. Mariah is also a proud member of the American Christian Fiction Writing Association! Along with her passion for writing, Mariah enjoys reading, traveling, and photography.
Mariah Glover was born in Gainesville, Florida but spent half of her life in South Carolina and the last half in North Carolina before she married her sweetheart in the summer of 2017 and moved to the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Along with her twin brother, younger brother, and younger sister, Mariah was raised in a very devout Christian home by loving, godly parents. Therefore, she grew up going very faithfully to church and having family devotions at home. Growing up as a child when she was not in church or school, Mariah took piano and sewing lessons. She enjoyed participating in piano recitals and festivals and playing in nursing homes during holiday times. However, Mariah now spends more time with her other hobbies such as writing and photography. After being homeschooled all her life, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her Bachelors in English and a minor in History.
